One-to-one guitar lessons in a quiet Garden Street studio built for adults who return to music after work, travel, or years away from an instrument case.
Book a visitOlive Glade Atelier sits on Garden Street in Vancouver, a short walk from transit and evening cafés. We teach acoustic and electric guitar to learners who already manage calendars, not school timetables. Lessons assume you may arrive tired, rusty, or curious after decades away from a fretboard. Instructors pace sessions around your hands, not a generic grade book.
Our rooms are sound-treated for conversation-level instruction. You hear your own tone clearly without competing noise from a retail floor. We stock spare picks, capos, and tuners at the desk so a forgotten accessory does not cancel a hour you carved from a busy week. Practice notes leave with you as plain text: what to repeat, what to rest, and which recording to listen to before the next visit.
Whether you want campfire chords, fingerstyle patterns, or a disciplined electric warm-up, we map a path that respects your listening history. No talent contests, no public recitals unless you ask for one. Progress is measured in relaxed shoulders, cleaner changes, and songs you can play for yourself on a Sunday morning.

Clean tone work, rhythm pocket, and introductory lead phrasing through low-volume amps monitored at comfortable levels.
Most bookings run 17:30–20:30 on weekdays when downtown offices release their staff.
Well-set-up instruments for trial lessons while you decide on your own purchase.
Written summaries after each session so home practice stays focused on two or three tasks, not an overwhelming list.
We align strap height, wrist angle, and pick grip so practice at home does not reinforce strain.
Metronome work at human tempos; you leave knowing which tempos feel honest, not rushed.
A short song or etude performed start to finish, even if dynamics are still developing.
We choose acoustic depth, electric rhythm, or a blended plan for the next block of lessons.
