Olive Glade Atelier welcomes prospective students by appointment so each visit receives unhurried attention. The studio occupies a ground-floor suite at 91 Garden Street in Vancouver, with a discrete entry beside a shared courtyard gate. Ring the bell marked Olive Glade; your instructor will meet you at the door and walk you through the practice rooms before any playing begins.
First visits last forty-five minutes. We discuss your prior experience, the music you listen to, and practical constraints such as travel, hand strength, or noise considerations at home. You may try both acoustic and electric setups if you are undecided; we adjust strap height and chair position together. There is no placement test — we listen to you describe goals and suggest a starting route that feels achievable within your calendar.
The space includes two teaching rooms separated by insulated partitions, a small waiting nook with hooks for coats and cases, and a desk where we store loaner instruments and tuners. Washrooms are in the building corridor one door down. We ask visitors to arrive five minutes early so sessions start on time for the student after you.
Transit riders can reach Garden Street via several bus lines connecting to downtown and east-side neighbourhoods. Street parking is limited in the evening; we recommend allowing extra time or using nearby pay lots on parallel avenues. Bike racks sit at the courtyard entrance. If you need step-free access, mention it when booking — we will arrange the ground-floor route and seating that suits your mobility.
